How to use YaadIt?

YaadIt empowers students to master their exams effortlessly. Experience the power of machine learning, streamline your study process, and achieve academic excellence like never before.

  • Chunk

Input your notes, and YaadIt segments them into smaller, digestible clusters for easier comprehension and retention.

  • Dump

Test your knowledge by recalling information in a simulated exam environment.

  • Analyze

Receive detailed feedback on what you remembered correctly, partially, or forgot, helping identify areas for improvement.

  • Revise

Utilize dynamic prompts and recommended repetition spacing to reinforce learning and optimize recall over time.

What Is Yaadit?

YaadIt is a machine learning-backed app that is designed to simplify the process of using the blurting method. It is one of the first few tools in the space that focuses on rote learning as a key goal. The YaadIt app gives the users a space to input their notes in PDF, word document, image, or plain text form and then chunks the information provided into smaller information clusters. It then allows users to revise their notes from the input as well as from the generated chunked summary. Once a user feels ready, they can test their knowledge by inputting everything they can recall into a provided document. Along the way, they can also ask for hints and prompts to nudge their memory. Once a user has filled and submitted the page with everything they can recall, the app compares the recalled information with the original to provide the user with a similarity index. The app also explicitly mentions which chunks of information were correctly recalled, which chunks were partially recalled, and which were not recalled. The given prompts are dynamic in nature and change according to which points the user tends to forget more often. The collected data on user recall also enables the algorithm to recommend ideal spacing between repetitions.

What's the Blurting Method?

The blurting method is a dynamic approach to revision that combines active recall, chunking, and spaced repetition techniques for effective learning. In this method, students engage in active recall by quickly writing down everything they remember on a specific topic without consulting their notes. This process helps strengthen memory retrieval pathways and enhances long-term retention. The advantages of the blurting method include:

  • Active Learning

  • Efficient Revision

  • Memory Consolidation

  • Equal Focus
